Update Text Header:
Editing text (EBCDIC) and binary headers in g-Viewer is straightforward. The user has to go to the Text headers table and make the necessary changes. To update the data with the changes, the user must click on the Tools tab and select the Update text header to implement the changes.
Let’s try to change the Text header first. In order to do that, first we need to click inside the Text header at the desired row (C1 – C40) and make the necessary changes then hit Enter. That particular row will change it’s back ground color.
Here we are going to edit the text in C 4 to “g-Viewer EBCDIC header change” from the blank line and hit Enter to see the change.
To save the changes, click on Actions icon and choose the option Update text header option as shown below.
After selecting this option we get a pop-up window to ask us to confirm the operation as shown below.
Select the Yes option and observe the change in the back ground color of C 4 row which tells us that the Text header has been successfully modified/edited. Also we observe that the text in C 4 has been changed from Lower case to UPPER case.
