Deconvolution can be used as a demultiple technique especially the gap deconvolution or predictive deconvolution. It can be used for both onshore and offshore data. g-Platform processing suite offers many flavors of deconvolution. They are
•Decon predictive
•Decon Weiner

•Time variant Weiner deconvolution
•Surface consistent deconvolution
Among those, we are going to discuss about Decon predictive aka gap deconvolution.
Module name Decon predictive
It works on the Weiner - Levinson algorithm where the predictive deconvolution operators are calculated and applied in trace by trace mode. The user has to provide the deconvolution window.
The user can do the deconvolution either on pre or post stack data. In pre-stack data, the user should sort the data in common shot/receiver/bin gather and generate the auto correlation to calculate the operator length and operator gap. In the below image, we are showing the auto correlation of a shot gather before and after deconvolution.
