Phase

The Phase group contains modules for detecting and correcting trace polarity reversals, and for computing, applying, and editing trace-to-trace time shifts (trim statics) based on cross-correlation. These tools are typically used after first-break picking and before surface-consistent statics solutions to correct residual time-alignment errors that remain after standard static corrections.

The following modules are available in this group:

Autodetect reverse polarity gathers — automatically identifies source gathers whose polarity is reversed relative to adjacent gathers by cross-correlating LMO-corrected shot records, and allows the user to review, manually edit, and apply phase corrections to flagged gathers.

Trim statics - Calculate — computes trace-by-trace time shifts by cross-correlating each input trace against a reference (stack or super-gather) within a user-defined time window, producing a trim statics dataset for subsequent application.

Trim statics - Apply — applies the time shifts computed by Trim statics - Calculate to the corresponding input traces, using either a gather or a GSD file as the source of shift values, with configurable interpolation and taper parameters.

Trim statics - Edit — provides an interactive editor for reviewing and smoothing the trim statics solution, enabling the user to identify outliers, apply median filtering, and adjust shift values before application to the data.
