Refraction statics

This section contains modules for computing and applying refraction-based static corrections. Refraction statics correct for near-surface velocity variations by modelling the first-arriving refracted energy (first breaks) to estimate weathering layer thickness and velocity. The derived static shifts are applied to all traces to compensate for time delays caused by the low-velocity weathered zone, improving the alignment of reflections before stacking.

Currently available in this group: GLI Refraction static solver — uses a Generalized Linear Inversion approach to solve for near-surface model parameters from first-break traveltimes.
