Signal Processing Procedures

This section contains specialized signal processing modules for seismic data. The modules in this group focus on acquiring and enhancing seismic signals from non-standard acquisition environments, particularly borehole and downhole sources.

Currently the group contains the following module:

SWD data processing — processes Seismic While Drilling (SWD) acquisition data. During SWD operations, seismic energy generated by the drill bit or a downhole source is recorded at surface receivers while drilling is in progress. This module performs the dedicated noise removal, signal separation, and enhancement steps required to extract usable seismic signals from SWD recordings, including suppression of drill-noise interference and recovery of coherent reflections from the borehole environment. The processed output can be used for real-time velocity estimation, look-ahead imaging, and integration with surface seismic data.
