Velocity

This section contains the complete set of velocity analysis, manipulation, and conversion modules. Velocity information is fundamental to all seismic processing, from NMO correction and stacking through to depth migration and inversion. The modules here cover the full velocity processing workflow: picking velocities from semblances, converting between velocity types (Vrms, Vint, Vavg, depth velocity), smoothing and editing velocity fields, and preparing velocity models for depth migration.

Available modules include velocity picking and editing (Velocity analysis, Velocity editor, RMO by picking, Parabolic NMO by picking), velocity model creation (Create velocity model, Create depth velocity, Create tomo slopes), velocity conversions (Dix 2D, Vint depth to Vrms time, V-int to V-avg (depth), VRMS to stereo 3D tomo parameters), smoothing and interpolation (Smooth 2D, Smooth 3D, Smooth velocity model, Velocity interpolator), and imaging modules (NMO, LMO, PSTM imaging, Map migration, 2D CO map migration).
