Greeting you! We are happy that you chose g-Platform software for seismic processing. This tutorial will provide you with the detailed guiding of all the steps of production 2D marine seismic processing sequence.
In each chapter you can find answers how to use g-Platform functionality, explore many different features and interactive tools. You will discover friendly and flexible interface, as well as vast number of conventional and advanced processing modules. Geophysicists are able to resolve any problem, have opportunity to build sophisticated workflows and process many types of seismic processing projects such as 2D/3D land and marine, VSP, Depth Imaging, MutiFocusng and Diffraction Imaging and Ultra high frequency data sets.
Seismic data set: In this tutorial we are using two marine 2D lines in different chapter or steps for showing particular process (algorithm or visualization tools): Viking Graben and Falcon seismic data (marine seismic is accessible on the internet free as a open data).
System description: Geomage g-Platform is a unique imaging software for processing your seismic data. Our solutions are based on the latest developments in software and hardware technologies. An approach that allow you to concentrate on the processing and getting superb imaging results. Geomage solutions support a complete utilization of parallel processing capabilities of GPU and multi-core CPU clusters. This allows a reduction in lengthy processing times and gives a competitive advantage to our clients by delivering faster turnaround for their business decisions. •Software Performance – when you click somewhere, something happens; •Well-defined basic DB and Project Tree Structure; •Easy cluster and jobs management.
g-Platform is a sleek modern software which makes the life of geophysicists (both on field QC & production) easier with it's user friendly design, simple yet excellent GUI, faster turn around time, less burden on budget and robust algorithms sums up an excellent processing software suite. Geomage's g-Platform software suite is a complete package for both time and depth imaging. g-Platform software is in line with the modern industry technologies and continuously updates/adds the latest advanced technologies into it's portfolio. g-Platform was launched in the year 2003 with a small team. Geomage's proprietary technology MultiFocusing (MF) Imaging and Diffraction Imaging (DI) are separate plug-ins which are well integrated into g-Platform software suite. These two are not part of the standard software package. g-Platform can run on both Windows 7/8/10 & above, Linux (RHEL/CentOS) 6.x/7.x and above. The minimum hardware requirements for smooth running of g-Platform are as follows.
1. CPU - x86-64 2. 8 GB RAM (Preferably 16 GB) 3. Minimum ~ 1.5 GB disk space is required for g-Platform installation however 500 GB or more (As per the user project requirement) shall be suggested. 4. Good graphic card (Please check with our support team prior to purchase of the graphic card for compatibility). 5. 64 bit architecture.
Geomage's g-Platform software is still very young when compared with industry stalwarts with respect to it's presence however we are proud to say that the capabilities of g-Platform software is not lesser to any one, if not exceeds the expectations of our clientele across the globe.
