Vibroseis

This section contains modules for processing vibroseis (swept-frequency) seismic acquisition data. Vibroseis surveys use a controlled swept-frequency signal (the sweep) as the seismic source. The recorded field data must be cross-correlated with the sweep to produce a conventional impulsive seismic record. The modules here handle sweep generation, cross-correlation, and frequency filtering specific to vibroseis data.

Available modules include: Convert vibroseis data — cross-correlates field vibroseis records with the pilot sweep to produce correlated seismic traces; Create sweep — generates a synthetic reference sweep signal for use in the cross-correlation step; Filter vibroseis plate sweep — applies frequency filtering to condition the plate sweep signal before correlation.
