Within the Common gather menu, the user can able to

 

Quickly go through the loaded gathers

Can able to plot near surface velocity on the gathers

Apply a constant shift on the gather (Please note it's not a constant shift to move the data but it is move out

Can load the traces either by Sequential order or Group order

The use can able to sort by selected trace headers

To quickly go through the gathers, the user should choose the desired Interval (By default 500 ms) and click the Start button. It will display one gather after another with an interval of 100 ms until the user interferes by means of Stop/Pause.

 

Similarly, the user can go to the Next or previous gather by clicking on the Prev and Next icons.

 

Following display will appear with the Velocity of 1500 m/s on the shot gather

If we apply a 500ms of shift then the the velocity lines will be pushed down by 500ms as shown in below picture.

In case the velocity lines are not appearing on the Common gather, please click on the clip0188 (Show properties) of Common gather vista item and see the order of the vista items. It should be like the one shown below i.e. Common gather velocity should be on the top of the Common gather display. If not then the user should change the order by clicking on the clip0189 Up or down button.

When the user launches the g-Viewer and loads the seismic files, by default the gather is sorted by sequential order. But if the user wants to sort the data in any order they should select the option Group by.

Now choose one of the headers from the drop down menu of the Headers icon clip0180 and click Apply.

Similarly the user can select any trace header and select the desired gather whether a Source/Receiver/CMP gather. In the following image, we sorted the data by FFID and OFFSET.

If we observe the Sort by section of the Common gather tab, we've selected FFID and OFFSET.
