In the Tools menu, we have
Options : It is useful in visualizing the data in different measurement systems and/or placing of the annotations at Top/Bottom of the Windows & Tabs. Update binary headers : This option give us the ability to modify the binary headers of the seismic data. Update text header : With this option, the use can update the EBCDIC/Text header Save Seg-Y : In this option, the user can export/save full or partial gather/stack/volume of the input data. Save text header : This option is to export the EBCDIC/text headers Save trace headers : In this option, the user can select the required trace headers and export/save them in CSV format
Options basically gives the user to change/choose the Measurement system from Imperial to Metric or vice versa. Please note that this is only a visualization tool and won't change the actual metrics of the measurement units.
In Views section, by default Windows option is activated the View annotation location set as Top. This can be changed to bottom by simply clicking on the drop down menu to bring the options.
Similarly for Tabs also, the user can choose where to put the annotations i.e. at Top or Bottom.
In the Advance tab option, we have
Likewise, in Special section we have two options as shown below.
If the user selects the option New instance that means a new seismic instance will be created and the files will be added to that instance Add to seismic files list in current instance(By default). This means, whenever the user adds new seismic files they will add to the existing instance.
