To bin the 3D dataset, we should use Binning 3D module. Binning 3D is similar to Binning 2D with respect to make the connections/references. However in the parameters are quite a few to look for.
Module name Binning 3D
Unlike binning 2D, for Binning 3D the user should provide the Grid definition information in the Parameters tab. In case the user doesn't have the information g-Platform generates the bin grid information from the input trace headers. To do that the user should click on "Recalculate bin grid by input data" option in the action items menu.
Pro tip: If the binning 3D takes too long to run/execute, check the location map for any erratic X,Y coordinates. You can also check "Show isolines" option under Isolines map is unchecked. If checked please uncheck and run it again. It should run fast.
After executing the binning 3D module, generate the vista items to QC to see whether all the traces are falling inside the bin grid or not etc.
