Module name Save seismic by gather
This module is widely used to save the g-Platform internal dataset(s). Similar to Save seismic module, this module also generates two dataset(s) with an extension of ".gsd" & ".gsd.sgy"
The major takeaway of this module is ease of use. Unlike Save seismic, it doesn't requires the Input SEG-Y data handle and Input trace headers. It references to the Input gather only.
This is the only module that can be used within Seismic Loop to save the output dataset. Also this can be used inside the Flow wherein any given module output is a gather item then we can save it using Save seismic by gather.
In the above images, we can see that we can to add "Save seismic by gather" within the Flow and able to reference to Stack Imaging module's vista item "Stack inline" as an Input gather to "Save seismic by gather" module. Similarly the user can to save VRMS inline or any other vista items from the Stack Imaging. This is not only limited to Stack Imaging module, the user can to add any module which gives any output as a "Gather" that can be saved using Save seismic by gather module. To read back these saved gathers, use "Read seismic traces" module.
Similar to Save seismic, here also we have Saving mode & RewriteFile option. There is a scenario in case the job is stopped/failed for some reason then how to resolve is described in Seismic Loop module.
