The Seismic Loop module in g-Platform is a key component that allows the user to perform:
•Interactive testing of processing parameters
•Fast processing through parallel computations (Distributed Submission)
•Advanced usage features that provide greater processing flexibility
The key concept of the Seismic Loop is gather-by-gather processing based on the input trace sorting. Therefore, the Sort Traces module (1) must be included in the Workflow before the Seismic Loop module.
All processing modules that are intended to operate in a gather-by-gather mode should be included Inside the Seismic Loop module (2).
The Seismic Loop module allows the user to write output data directly as the result of all included processing modules using the built-in Write Output File option (4). However, the user is not limited to this approach and can also write output data at intermediate processing stages within the Seismic Loop by using the Save Seismic by Gather module (3).
