Export to g-Platform
g-Platform is a companion database application that stores project data centrally. This topic covers exporting horizons and polygons from the current g-Space project to a connected g-Platform database, where they are stored as serialized g-Item objects.
Purpose
Publish interpretation results — horizons and polygons — from g-Space to a shared g-Platform database so they are available to other users and applications. Each exported object is written into a chosen storage and project as a serialized g-Item.
Launching the export
Export requires an active connection to a g-Platform database. Once connected, the Export data to g-Platform dialog opens. On the left, the Storages and Projects panel lets you choose the destination: pick an external storage from the storage list (the database default is marked (default)) and a target project from the project tree.

Step-by-step
- In the Storages and Projects panel, choose the destination storage from the combo box and select the target project in the tree.
- In the Data list section, browse the Available objects list of horizons and polygons. Use the Search objects box to filter by name.
- Move the objects you want to export into the Objects to export list with the > button (or >> for all). Double-clicking an object moves it too; the < and << buttons move objects back.
- Objects that already exist in the database are shown greyed out. Clear Show existing objects to hide them from the list.
- Press OK to export the selected objects to the chosen storage and project, or Cancel to abort.

Notes
- Only horizons and polygons are exported; each is serialized as a g-Item in the database.
- Objects already present in the target database are marked as grey shadow items, so you can see what has been exported previously without overwriting it unintentionally.
- The storage list is read from the g-Platform database; the default storage is highlighted and pre-selected.
