This chapter will guide through the existing bars available in g-Space and describe the functionality.

Every ribbon button shows its name under the icon by default. To change this, open the Tools menu, choose Options ... and use the Toolbar buttons group on the General tab. Clear Show button names to display the ribbon as icons only, or set Button width, Button height and Spacing between buttons to change the size of the buttons and the gap between them.

The tab names and the section name under each group are always shown, and pointing at a button displays the full command name as a tooltip. Changed ribbon settings are applied the next time g-Space starts.

Main bar - allows to perform the general actions with the project

Views bar - allows to add different functional views in workspace

Database bar - manages connections to the g-Space and g-Platform databases for data import, export and synchronization

Seismic bar - allows to add/delete seismic datasets as well as perform functions with loaded seismic data

Wells bar - allows to import/export/delete wells data as well as perform functions with wells

Petrophysics bar - allows to run petrophysical calculations and interpretation tools, providing access to multiple calculators for processing and analysing well log data.

Well tie bar - allows to setup and execute well-tie functionality

Interpretation bar - provides picking controls and horizon and fault interpretation management tools

Velocity model bar - allows to customize your velocity model

Modelling bar - allows to setup the mapping parameters

Attributes bar - allows to calculate/generate attributes (as amplitude, envelope, instantaneous phase etc.) and spectral decomposition

Statistical analysis bar - allows to generate and analyze the cross plots

Mis tie seismic bar -  allows to check and fix the seismic intersections misties

AVO bar - allows to perform AVO analysis

Reservoir bar- allows to make gross rock volume calculation
