Export data
This chapter will guide you through exporting different types of data from g-Space.
Here is the list of the data types you are able to export form g-Space:
- Well data - well headers, markers, checkshots, well logs, well inclinometry
- Seismic horizons
- Fault sticks
- Grid data
- Polygons
Selecting well data to export
When you export well data from the Data manager — right-click the Wells folder or an individual well and choose Export — a setup window opens so you can choose exactly which fields are written. The Export submenu offers:
- Wellheads - opens the Wellheads Export Setup window (UWI, Well Name, Company Name, Type, Status, X (Easting), Y (Northing), Completion Date, Total Depth, Kelly Bushing, Ground Level, CRS, Comments).
- Inclinometry - opens the Inclinometry Export Setup window (Well Name, UWI, MD, Inclination, Azimuth, TVD, TVDSS, X, Y, CRS).
- Checkshot - opens the Checkshot Export Setup window (Well Name, UWI, MD, TVD, TVDSS, OWT, TWT, Velocity, Average Velocity, CRS).
- LAS - opens the LAS Export Setup window, with LAS format (*.las) and Excel format (*.xlsx) outputs; here you also pick which log curves to include.
Each setup window lists the available fields as check boxes with Select all and Deselect all buttons; only the ticked fields are written to the exported file.
