This module is deprecated. For current workflows, use the Cepstrum Deconvolution or Matched filter modules for spectral shaping.
Spectral Balance Wiener applies a time-varying Wiener deconvolution filter to balance and shape the amplitude spectrum of seismic traces. The algorithm uses an analytic (Hilbert transform) approach to design a spectral equalization filter in sliding time windows. This produces a frequency-balanced output while preserving relative phase relationships. The module is applied trace by trace and is designed to improve the temporal resolution of seismic data.
The seismic data container connecting to the dataset to be processed.
The input seismic gather on which spectral balancing will be applied.
The length of the sliding analysis window (in seconds) used to compute the local spectral equalization operator. Longer windows produce more stable operators but reduce the time-variant adaptability of the filter. The minimum effective window length is approximately 0.3 s for lower frequencies. Default: 0.4 s.
A stabilization noise fraction (in percent) added to the spectral estimate before inversion to prevent division by very small spectral values. A higher value increases stability but reduces the degree of spectral equalization. Default: 0.001%.
