Post-stack binning (2D) assigns sequential bin numbering to a set of post-stack (zero-offset) 2D seismic traces and constructs a reference stack line geometry. Each input trace receives a unique bin sequence number and cross-line index based on its position in the trace collection. The module also computes the average spatial interval (picket step) between consecutive traces.
Note: This module is deprecated. Use the standard 2D binning modules for new workflows.
The collection of post-stack 2D trace headers to be processed. The input must be a post-stack trace vector, meaning each trace has matching source, receiver, and bin information indicating it is a stacked (zero-offset) dataset. If the input does not satisfy this condition, the module will report an error.
This module has no user-adjustable input parameters. Binning is performed automatically based on the order of the input traces.
The updated trace header collection with assigned sequential bin sequence numbers and cross-line indices.
A vector of bin points defining the 2D reference stack line geometry. The first and last bin points are stored as the line endpoints, and the full bin point vector is available for display in the map view.
The total count of bins (one per input trace) assigned during the binning operation.
The computed average spatial interval (picket step) between consecutive trace bins, in metres. This value reflects the spatial sampling of the stack line.
