Shift depth velocity
Move interval velocity to constant datum or topography level (in depth domain)
Theory
The Shift Depth Velocity module is used to transfer interval velocities from one datum to another or to the topography level in the depth domain, ensuring that the velocity model accurately reflects the variations in the subsurface. This process is essential for aligning the velocity with the actual topography or a different reference datum.
Input data
Input depth gather
input interval velocity in gather format.
Parameters
Shift data type { To Datum, To Topography }
input interval velocity in gather format.
Output datum
input interval velocity in gather format.
Settings
Number of threads
limit number of threads on main machine.
Skip - switch-off this module (do not use in the workflow).
Output data
Output depth gather
output interval velocity in gather format on the new datum or topography level.
Examples
Workflow example: read interval velocity and move it from constant datum to topography level, select shift To Topography, so Output datum <meters> does not works in this case:

Open visual vista items to doing QC of result, pay attention on elevation graph on the top which can be activated in visual settings of each velocity gather section (instrument tool is located the top of each gather window
